A.P. Moeller-Maersk's container carrier, Maersk Line, is not likely to buy either Hanjin Shipping or Hyundai Merchant Marine, sources familiar with the matter tell the Wall Street Journal, thus contradicting speculations that Maersk Line is ready to acquire or buy assets from the financially struggling South Korean carriers.

According to the newspaper's sources, Maersk Line will instead wait for other crisis-stricken operators to start looking for a lifeline to avoid defaulting.
