Media: Maersk not likely to buy South Korean carriers

Maersk Line looks unlikely to buy Hanjin Shipping or Hyundai Merchant Marine, sources familiar with the matter tell the Wall Street Journal. According to these sources, Maersk Line will instead wait for other struggling operators to need a lifeline.

A.P. Moeller-Maersk's container carrier, Maersk Line, is not likely to buy either Hanjin Shipping or Hyundai Merchant Marine, sources familiar with the matter tell the Wall Street Journal, thus contradicting speculations that Maersk Line is ready to acquire or buy assets from the financially struggling South Korean carriers.
