SeaIntel: 31,000 employees in container carriers could be cut

In the third quarter, German Hapag-Lloyd has overtaken Maersk Line in terms of productivity per employee, writes SeaIntel. The analyst firm notes that despite huge savings and increased productivity, container carriers across the sector still have too many employees, specifically as many as 31,000 who could be cut.
