Media: Three potential buyers for Hamburg Süd

If the Oetker family, which owns Hamburg Süd, decides to withdraw from shipping and sell the container carrier, sales talks could begin before the end of the year, one source tells the Wall Street Journal.

Maersk Line, Hapag-Lloyd, and Cosco Group are named as the three most obvious potential buyers among executive figures in shipping, writes the US financial media, after sources last week told ShippingWatch that Maersk Line looks as the most likely candidate to buy the German carrier.
