Rickmers Maritime in new plea for support from bondholders

Hard-strained Singapore-based Rickmers Maritime took a big hit on the bottom line in 2016, and in its annual report the company once again calls on its creditors for help in solving the massive financial difficulties enveloping the company.

Rickmers Maritime has been enveloped in major financial difficulties throughout 2016, and the company has been negotiating with its bondholders to reach an agreement that can secure continued operations going forward. And so far without luck, which means that the company's future as a going concern currently looks highly uncertain.

And this state of affairs is reflected in the annual report 2016, as Rickmers Maritime, headquartered in Singapore, lost USD 180 million against a loss of USD 130 million the year before.
