Weak prospects for new South Korean partnership

The 14 carriers in a new South Korean collaboration, constituting the South Korean government's attempt to strengthen several of the country's ailing carriers, seems to have received a tepid response from participants, according to Alphaliner.

The new South Korean partnership between 14 carriers is part of the government's plan to restore vitality to the country's shipping industry after Hanjin's bankruptcy one year ago. But it will likely not have a great impact on the intra-Asian or Far East market for the companies involved.
