Scorpio Tankers buys 55 ballast water systems

Scorpio Tankers has signed a deal to buy 55 ballast water systems for Ecochlor, the carrier announced. Another container carrier has recently signed for an even larger order.

Scorpio Tankers has signed a deal to buy 55 ballast water cleaning systems from Ecochlor, of which Scorpio will also become a smaller shareholder, announced the carrier in a press release.

The installations will begin in the fourth quarter and will continue until the end of 2022.
