New tanker carrier expands order book on VLCCs

Norwegian Hunter is expanding its order book of VLCCs with an additional vessel which will also be constructed in South Korea. Altogether, eight vessels will be constructed for the company, while more could be on the way.

Hunter Tankers, a subsidiary of Norwegian investment company Hunter Group, is expanding its order book of VLCCs with yet another vessel which will also be constructed in South Korea.

The 300,000 dwt tanker is expected to be delivered in July 2020 and, like Hunter's remaining order book for the large vessels, will be equipped with a scrubber from Wärtsilä, according to a press release.
