Former Maersk top exec Tommy Thomsen is now a towering figure at Lauritzen

Tommy Thomsen, former Maersk top exec, has become a dominant figure at the old family-run Lauritzen shipping business with his appointment as CEO of owner Lauritzen Foundation as well as Chairman of shipping company J. Lauritzen. But is it problematic to serve in the two top positions at the same time? ShippingWatch has interviewed Thomsen.

Tommy Thomsen has returned to shipping full time. Even though he never let fully go of the maritime profession while heading the IFU, the Investment Fund for Developing Countries, it is not until now, five years later, that he is once again spending all of his working time on shipping.
