Jens Martin Jensen has resigned as Global Energy Ventures' head of shipping.

The company informs that Jensen opted to step down from the executive team, where he has served as head of shipping. He is being replaced by Thomas Söderberg.

Jensen is also the former chief executive of Frontline, and he worked for Maersk for many years. He has been a partner at US-based private equity firm Pillarstone since 2016.

Söderberg has, among other things, been employed in various roles at Maersk and John Fredriksen's Seatankers. At Maersk, he helped build up the company's feeder activities. He has also worked for Maersk Broker in Hong Kong and runs the investment firm Tribini Capital.

According to a press statement from Global Energy Ventures, Jensen accepted a job as head of shipping at another listed gas company based in Miami, Florida, where he will begin in September.

Global Energy Ventures is listed in Australia and bases its business on production and freight of compressed natural gas (CNG).

In July, the company signed a letter of intent with a Chinese shipyard that will build eight new CNG ships.
