VLCC rates soar past USD 120,000 per day

Day rates for the large VLCC tankers have now surpassed USD 120,000 per day and stand at the highest level since 2015.

The big VLCC ships are now sailing at rates in excess of USD 120,000 per day – equivalent to the highest tanker market day rates since 2015.

Specifically, VLCC vessels operate for rates of approximately USD 121,000 per day, reports shipbroker Clarksons Platou in an update Wednesday.
