Major tanker operator publishes its CO2 emissions

Ardmore Shipping has begun publishing details about its ships' CO2 emissions. The measuring will continue going forward, even though it is still "really early days" for the shipping sector's CO2 disclosures, CEO Anthony Gurnee tells ShippingWatch.

One of the world's major shipping companies has revealed to the public how much CO2 its ships emit.

This is product tanker operator Ardmore Shipping with a fleet of 25 ships, which like competitors Torm, Norden and Hafnia carries cargoes such as gasoline, diesel, gas oil and ethanol on its ships.
