BP declares force majeure in contract with gas carrier

Golar LNG has received a claim of force majeure from oil major BP for a contract in 2022. Golar LNG is puzzled by the long time frame.

BP postpones a contract with Golar LNG by a year due to the coronavirus outbreak.

According to Golar LNG, the oil major's subsidiary BP Mauritania Investments Ltd has informed that it will not be ready to receive floating LNG facility Gimi in 2022, as otherwise planned.
