D'Amico to launch biofuel in tanker fleet to reduce emissions

D’Amico has tested a new biofuel on an LR1 tanker. Going forward, the Italian carrier’s LR1 vessels will now use the B30 biofuel.

Italian tanker line D’Amico will use a new mixed biofuel for powering its fleet of LR1 tankers in order to reduce vessel emissions of CO2, reads a company announcement.
