Scorpio concludes sale of 12 tankers – and plans to sell more

By the end of the third quarter, Scorpio Tankers hopes to have sold additional tankers. The vessels were put up for sale following the carrier’s major divestment to players including Hafnia, made in order to secure liquidity.

Product tanker carrier Scorpio Tankers has just completed a divestment of 12 tankers of the types LR1 and MR, but the financially strained shipping company doesn’t end its selling spree here, according to an update on the second quarter.
