Odfjell CEO: the chemical tanker upturn is here to stay into 2024

Harald Fotland, Odfjell’s CEO, sees the upturn in the chemical tanker market lasting even longer than he initially expected. Three factors drive this, but a three-headed troll could potentially spoil the good markets, he tells ShippingWatch.

Only once prior to today has Norwegian chemical tanker company Odfjell delivered a better result, and according to CEO Harald Fotland, the upswing is long lasting.

In an interview with ShippingWatch in May this year, he said he was positive about 2022 and 2023. Today, however, the chief executive ups his prediction and says the upturn will also include 2024.
