Wilbur Ross ready to stock-list product carrier

American equity fund investor Wilbur Ross, along with other investors in Diamond S Shipping Group, plans to raise USD 100 million to purchase more ships.

Diamond S Shipping Group, whose financiers include American equity fund investor Wilbur Ross, plans to raise USD 100 million through an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, according to a press release on Tuesday. The proceeds will primarily be used to purchase product tankers.

WL Ross & Co has a 32 percent stake in Diamond S Shipping Group, which owns and operates a fleet of MR product tankers. Wilbur Ross most recently stock-listed LNG carrier Navigator Holdings in November 2013.
