
The world's largest gas operator, Singapore-based BW Group, expands its chemical fleet with ten ships, says the company in a corporate statement just one day after announcing a new joint venture with Asian private equity fund PAG.
BW Group has made a deal for two chemical tankers from 2008 and 2010, respectively, at 20,000 dwt, and eight newbuildings of 19,000 dwt set for delivery between 2015 and 2018 from Norwegian Stream Tankers, which is owned by Utkilen and EGD Shipholding, among others.
