
Dorian LPG, whose ownership includes Scorpio Tankers, has entered a collaboration with a subsidiary of Japanese MOL, Phoenix Tankers, to form a pool for the carriers' VLGC's. Phoenix Tankers currently has a fleet of 11 vessels, while Dorian has four ships in the water and 18 newbuildings set for delivery ahead of January 2016, according to the company's interim report for the first nine months since Dorian changed to its current setup.
The report, which covers the period from July 1st 2013 up to and including March 2014, is the first for the carrier since the IPO in New York this spring. Dorian LPG CEO John Hadjipateras sees a great potential in the future collaboration:
