
The significant decline in the oil price, which has rattled down by 30-40 percent since this summer, is having a big impact on tanker carriers, and carrier Norden is pleased that the decline has resulted in a breakthrough effect on the carrier's general business, which is otherwise weighed down by a tough dry bulk market.
Norden's tanker fleet of 48 MR and Handysize product tankers is placed in one of the world's biggest tanker pools, Norient Product Pool, and it has in fact been a long time since the carrier has seen such positive trends in tanker, Lars Bagge Cristensen, Executive Vice President and Head of Tanker Department at Norden, tells ShippingWatch.
