Stena Weco charters four tankers from Aegean for five years

Greek Aegean has entered a new deal to charter five new product tanker vessels to Stena Weco, a joint venture between Danish-based Dannebrog and Swedish Stena Bulk AB. A very advantageous deal, according to brokers.

Aegean Shipping Management has secured a new deal with Stena Weco to charter five eco-design product tankers to the Danish/Swedish collaboration, report several media on Wednesday.

The five-year deal represents one of the biggest recent charter deals in the sector, and industry sources say that the daily rates for the ships are between USD 16,500 to 17,000 per day per ship.
