In a month and a half, Norwegian chemical tanker carrier Odfjell will welcome Kristian Mørch as new CEO when he, on August 1st, takes over the reins of the company. The appointment of a new Chief Executive was announced already in April, but not until now has it been revealed when Kristian Mørch would take up his position at the head of the table.
He will on the same day resign from the carrier's board of directors, says Odfjell in a brief to the Oslo Stock Exchange. The carrier had since December last year been looking for the right person to replace Jan A. Hammer - a process that Kristian Mørch, as a member of the board of directors, was also involved in. But two thirds of the way into the process he realized that he himself was interested in the job, he told ShippingWatch in April.
