113 tankers expelled from Nigerian waters

The Nigerian oil company NNPC has expelled 113 tankers out of the country's waters following a directive from the country's president. The decision looks like part of the effort against illegal oil trade, according to Reuters.

Nigeria's state-owned oil company NNPC has banned 113 tankers, mainly the large VLCC vessels, from the country's waters.

This happened following an order from the Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari, and oil traders according to Reuters, assess that the decision is part of the government's effort against illegal oil trade.
