
One of Norway's major, but relatively unknown internationally, shipowners - Trygve Seglem - is preparing a large-scale venture in the tanker and gas segment which requires a considerable capital injection.
Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv reports that Seglem's two core companies, TS Shipping Invest and Seglem Holding, have delivered positive results for the second consecutive year. But Trygve Seglem, who has been a prominent and not least charismatic figure in Norwegian for three decades, is now preparing an investment that could amount to a total of around USD 1 billion, according to the newspaper.
