On Monday of this week, BW Group purchased a stake in Dorian LPG of 10.2 percent from Scorpio Tankers. The acquisition is part of BW Group's strategy to be at the top of the large gas tanker segment.

"Dorian is a rapidly growing company with a quality fleet, and we are pleased to have purchased a stake in it.  This purchase reiterates our belief in the VLGC space, and is in line with BW's long-term commitment to our business and this segment in particular," says a spokesperson from BW Group to ShippingWatch regarding the purchase.
