Introducing Oaktree's strong man on the Torm board

A global figure is now getting ready to sit at the end of the table at Torm's board of directors, where equity fund Oaktree has gained the decisive voice. Economists trained at the world's most prestigious universities must work together with Nordic shipping.

Going forward, board meetings at Torm could be conducted in English, German, French and Japanese. This factor springs to mind when reading the resume of Torm's coming chairman, 44 year old Canadian Christopher Helmut Boehringer on equity fund Oaktree's website. Boehringer currently serves as managing director of Oaktree, after joining the fund in 2006.
