Lawyers warn tankers against violating Nigerian ban

Not all tanker vessels are welcome in the oil-rich African nation of Nigeria, from where 102 ships have been banned. Maritime lawyers warn against ignoring the ban, according to Platts.

It looks like several tanker carriers will have to arm themselves with patience. In any case the, Nigerian government does not look set to ease the ban that was introduced this summer, barring 102 tanker vessels from entering the oil-rich country's waters, reported several Nigerian maritime lawyers on Tuesday according to Platts.
