BW LPG now owns 92.7 percent of Aurora

Gas carrier BW LPG has secured a stake of 92.71 percent in Aurora LPG following an offer period. "We remain confident that the combination of BW LPG and Aurora LPG will create a stronger player in the challenging environment in the LPG shipping industry," says CEO Martin Ackermann.

BW LPG concluded its purchasing of shares in Aurora LPG on Monday, and the gas carrier now owns 92.71 percent of its competitor.

BW LPG already owned 32.79 percent of shares in Aurora LPG when the carrier began purchasing shares in Aurora LPG on Oct. 28 this year in an offer period. The share purchases boosted the ownership in Aurora by 59.92 percent, the carrier writes in a statement.
