Scorpio Tankers secures USD 21 million on leasing deal

Product tanker carrier Scorpio Tankers, which is about to finalize the acquisition of Navig8, is selling five MR vessels in a new leasing agreement which bolsters the carrier's liquidity.

Scorpio Tankers, the world's largest owner of new eco-design product tankers, has sold five MR vessels in a sale and leaseback deal with Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co, informs the New York-listed carrier in a press release.

The deal, of which three transactions have already been completed, improves the carrier's liquidity by a total USD 21 million after repayment of outstanding debt.
