Boskalis hit by tough market in the third quarter

Dutch offshore and towage carrier Boskalis emerged from the third quarter with a lower result. The market remains tough, says the carrier.

Boskalis came under pressure from the tough market for offshore vessels and tug boats in the third quarter, which will impact the entire result for the second half.

Boskalis expects that the second half will results in a EUR 15 million profit, while corresponding figures for the first half came to a profit of USD 75 million. The result is lower despite growing revenue. Both revenue and earnings are also lower than the third quarter last year.
