Swedish shipowners want 400 ships flagged in Sweden by 2027

The Swedish commercial fleet got a small boost last week when three carriers announced plans to flag vessels in Sweden. The new ships are a direct reaction to the Swedish tonnage tax scheme that was implemented on Jan. 1 2017. The scheme was created to turn around the development of the Swedish fleet.
