IMO to discuss transparency and lobbying power

The IMO is prepared to look into whether the organization is too closed off and if it grants too much power to the shipping lobby, reports a media. This comes after a reform proposal from several member states.

There could be changes underway at the International Maritime Organization, which regulates global shipping on behalf of the UN member states.
