EU Commission hints at possibility of adjusting Block Exemption Regulation

It is not just a question of whether the container sector's unique Block Exemption Regulation should be dissolved or extended. The EU Commission now floats the notion that the exemption could be adjusted, says EU Commission director general for competition according to media.

The EU Commission opens for the possibility of changing and expanding the shipping sector's unique Block Exemption Regulation, BER, that exempts the sector from the EU's competition laws, reports Journal of Commerce.
