DFDS executing on Brexit contract despite postponement

Although Brexit is postponed, DFDS is currently operating the extra departures that the company has contracted with the UK, as the contract does not include an option for postponement. Some departures have been canceled, DFDS tells ShippingWatch.

Shipping and logistics company DFDS is busy sailing the extra departures contracted by the UK although Brexit has been postponed, DFDS tells ShippingWatch.

The contracts were originally entered in order to ensure sufficient capacity on routes to and from the UK in the event of a no-deal Brexit following the cut-off date March 29.
