Greek shipowner Dryships' chief executive has purchased the remaining shares of the company, thereby taking it off the New York Stock Exchange.

CEO and majority shareholder George Economou had his acquisition offer of USD 76 million approved Monday and thus becomes the sole owner through his company SPII Holdings.
