Maersk's head of Marine HR: Our crew costs are too high

The head of Marine HR at Maersk, Niels Bruus, is preparing to "turn over every stone" to make the company's crew-related costs competitive, reports maritime media Søfart. Maersk rejects that this is an initiative aimed solely at lowering wages.

Niels Bruus, Maersk's head of training, recruitment and maintaining of seafarers, says in an interview with maritime media Søfart that the company must make "heavy decisions" in order to bring its crew-related costs closer to the levels at its competitors.
