P&O Ferries to dismiss 1,100 employees

Ferry operator P&O Ferries has plans to lay off 1,100 employees as a consequence of declining activity during the corona crisis, report several media, including the BBC.

Ferry operator P&O Ferries plans to lay off 1,100 employees, write several media, including the BBC and The Guardian.

Following this staff reduction, the carrier will have around 3,000 employees left, The Guardian writes. According to the newspaper, P&O Ferries has already sent roughly 1,400 employees home, of which most work in the passenger business.
