Torm books strongest half-year result in 12 years

Product tanker shipping company Torm exits the second quarter with a profit of USD 71.1 million and thus books its best half-year result since 2008. After a strong start to the year, however, rates have started dropping again.

Tanker shipping company Torm also used the second quarter's favorable tanker market to secure what the company says is its best half-year result in 12 years.

Most recently, the product tanker shipping company booked a result before tax of USD 71.4 million in the second quarter, a significant improvement from las year's result of USD 5.2 million for the same period.
