Wilhelmsen heirs offer to buy out CEO and family

Seven Wilhelmsen heirs have offered NOK 3.2 billion to buy out Wilh. Wilhelmsen CEO Thomas Wilhelmsen and his closest family, reports Dagens Næringsliv.

A group of members of the Norwegian Wilhelmsen family have submitted an offer totaling billions of kroner to Thomas Wilhelmsen, CEO of shipping group Wilh. Wilhelmsen.

According to Dagens Næringsliv, seven members of the Norwegian family want to buy Thomas Wilhelmsen and his closes family out of the family-owned companies for a sum of NOK 3.2 billion (USD 353.7 million). The heirs have hired Carnegia, which back in May presented an offer in writing to Thomas Wilhelmsen, reports the newspaper.
