Wilhelmsen allocates USD 500 million to new business investments

Wilhelmsen shifts focus from the oil and gas segment to activities that, among other things, can help reduce CO2 emissions in the maritime industry. To promote these efforts, the company plans to invest USD 500 million in new businesses.

Wilhelmsen makes organizational changes to make room for investments in new businesses that will help boost growth in, among other things, maritime services and the reduction of CO2 emissions.

For these segments, the company has set aside USD 500 million for new business investments. The long-term goal is to shift focus from oil and gas-related activities to activities in the renewable sector, states a press release.
