British minister to force P&O to re-hire slashed ferry personnel

The UK’s transport minister urges P&O Ferries to reinstate sacked employees before it is forced to through legislation. Authorities also intend to meet up with DFDS, among others, in order to secure the Easter traffic across the English Channel.

Much-debated ferry operator P&O Ferries has been given a final deadline to change its decision of firing 800 staff on its English Channel ferries in order to replace them with a cheaper workforce.
