Increasing ship prices are attracting more stock investors to shipping

Shipping stocks have on average increased by more than 25 percent this year, partly due to there still being significant value in ship prices, according to Clarksons. Right now, tanker vessels are sold at prices below their net asset value, says the analyst firm.

While global stock markets are decreasing so far this year with fear of recession and geopolitical uncertainty, the trend is opposite for shipping stocks.
