MOL makes large investment in rotor sails

The company will equip seven bulkers with the wind propulsion systems. Internal tests show that the sails can reduce daily fuel consumption by up to 17%.

Japanese Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) will install wind propulsion systems such as rotor sails on seven newly built dry cargo and multipurpose vessels operated by dry cargo shipping company MOL Drybulk.
