Danish government to strengthen maritime framework

The case of Evergas' - as of yet - failed attempts at having its ships registered under DIS has now made the government take action. The goal is to change the rules so that owners won't necesarrily have to be based in Denmark.


French-owned Evergas' problems with getting its ships registered under the Danish International Ship Register, DIS, now makes the government take action to change the rules as quickly as possible.

Evergas is owned by the French shipping group Bourbon, but with its address in Copenhagen, the company is a full-scale shipping company operating its activities out of Denmark, with a Danish organization headed by CEO Martin Ackermann.
