Maersk Line gets a discount on Triple-E

Maersk Line has been given a USD 100 million price reduction on its Triple-E ships, confirms group press officer Michael Storgaard, Maersk Line, to ShippingWatch.

The question of whether the price of the Triple-E ships, at USD 190 million a piece, was too high compared to the prices of the current market has been discussed at great length by several brokers recently. Now Michael Storgaard, group press officer at Maersk Line, confirms to ShippingWatch that the carrier has been given a price reduction on the ships, which are being built at South Korean shipyard DSME.
