Maersk: Governments should secure enforcement of SOx rule

The governments in the ECA zone must put forward rules for how to manage the shipping companies who do not live up the coming SOx regulations, says Maersk Drilling CEO Claus V. Hemmingsen at the Nor-Shipping conference.

A clear commitment from the governments in the so-called ECA zones is lacking on the issue of the coming regulations on SOx which take effect in 2015. This is the critique from Maersk Drilling CEO Claus V. Hemmingsen, partner and member of the Group Executive Board in the Maersk Group, who is attending the Nor-Shipping conference in Oslo.
