Competitive authority looking into DFDS' golden route

The British Competition Commission is now taking a closer look at DFDS' freight agreement with Swedish transportation company NTEX on the routes from Gothenburg to England. The routes are among DFDS's most lucrative routes.

"Office of fair trading is evaluating whether this agreement has resulted in the establishment of a merger that falls under the paragraph of the 2002 Entreprise Act, and whether, if it does, this has resulted in or is expected to result in a significant reduction of competition in any market or markets for goods and services in Great Britain," states the authority in a brief dated June 28th.
