DFDS Logistics Sweden has secured a “major agreement” with Volvo Logistics and Volvo Car Cooperation, DFDS informs in its weekly newsletter. According to the agreement, DFDS Logistics will supply the delivery sequences from various suppliers to the automaker’s production plants in Gothenburg.
“The contract will commence on 8 August and DFDS Logistics will run 46 of our own trucks, and 67 special trailers as part of the new Volvo service. Initially we will employ two traffic planners and 66 drivers, so the team in Gothenburg has done a great job securing trucks, trailers and drivers for this within a very short space of time,” says Managing Director Niklas Andersson, DFDS Logistics Gothenburg.
