Iran – a minefield for insurance companies

It will have incalculable consequences if we in any way should become involved in relation to the American sanctions against Iran, says Helle Lehmann, Senior Vice President of Skuld in Copenhagen.

The more stringent American sanctions against Iran from July 1st is a potential minefield, also for non-American insurance companies which on Wednesday were informed by New York’s superior financial authority, the Department of Financial Services, that the American rules must be followed and that failure to abide by the rules can have severe consequences.
