Status right now stands at 187 newbuilding contracts for product tankers, with just a short while left before the end of 2013, says Bimco in its latest Shipping Overview & Outlook, December 2013.
The contracts have filled the orderbooks at many shipyards to such an extent that several yards have reached max capacity, so that the delivery of 27 of a total 187 newbuilding contracts are estimated to be pushed, from planned delivery in 2013 to 2016 instead.
