Nordic Bulk breaks the ice on fixed Canadian route

Nordic Bulk Carrier has initiated negotiations with Canadian authorities to increase the number of sailings on the Northwest Passage, and several carriers will follow suit, says Arctic expert.

This September dry bulk carrier Nordic Orion became the first large commercial vessel to sail north of the North American continent, and it looks like this will not be the last time the Danish carrier transports 73,500 tons coal from Finland to Vancouver on the Canadian West Coast.
